Questions you might have
If you are wondering whether coaching could help, these are the questions people most often want answered first. If yours is not here, you can ask me on the discovery call.
What does a divorce coach do, and how is it different from a solicitor or therapist?
A divorce coach helps you think clearly while everything around you is changing. I give you a calm, confidential space to make sense of what is happening, work out what matters to you and prepare for the decisions and conversations ahead.
A solicitor advises and represents you on the legal side. A therapist helps you explore and work through what you feel, often including the past. Coaching sits alongside both: it is practical and forward-looking, focused on where you are now and what your next step is.
I don’t replace your solicitor or a therapist, and if someone else is better placed to help, I’ll tell you. More about how I help.
Do you give financial or legal advice?
No. I provide clarity and preparation, not regulated financial advice, and I don’t give legal advice either.
What I do instead is help you understand your financial position, bring order to the information in front of you and work out which questions to ask. That way you arrive at conversations with your solicitor or financial adviser clearer, better prepared and knowing what you need to ask.
My background is more than two decades in finance, which is why this side of things feels familiar to me. Read about my finance background.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is confidential and held in the strictest confidence.
Our first conversation is private and confidential too, so you can speak openly about what is happening.
Do you work online or in person?
Both. You can see me in person in Putney, London, or online from wherever you feel most comfortable and private.
We can choose whichever suits you best, and change it as things move on.
What happens on the discovery call?
It is a 20 minute conversation, and there is nothing to prepare. The call is free. You talk, I listen, and together we work out what feels most important and where you need clarity first.
If I can help, I’ll explain what working together could look like. If someone else is better placed to help, I’ll tell you. No pressure, and no obligation.
When you are ready, you can book your complimentary call.
How much does it cost?
I will talk you through fees on your discovery call, once we both have a sense of what kind of support would help you.
There is no obligation to go any further after that conversation.
Your next step
You don’t have to have the whole future figured out.
You only need to know what your next step is.
If you’d like some help finding it, I’m here.
